What is Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the practice of bringing one's attention to the internal and external experiences occurring in the present moment.

There are numerous exercises you can do to train your ability to be mindful.

We're going to do one now.

Exercise One

The Five Senses

Focusing on your five senses individually can be a great way to get our of your head, and into your body.
1. Taste
Think about the last thing you ate, was it sweet or salty?
2. Smell
Is there any smells in the air? Fresh air aways smells better.
3. See
Is there a window nearby? What is on the walls?
4. Hear
Who and what can you hear? Focus on closer things at first.
5. Touch
Can you feel a breeze? Your feet in your shoes?
